Terms of Service

By using Splitspot ("the Service", available at splitspot.app), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Splitspot helps groups of people find a fair meeting point by calculating the geographic midpoint between two or more locations and suggesting nearby places to meet. The Service uses Google Maps and Google Places to calculate routes and display venue suggestions.

You agree to use Splitspot only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service at scale without permission

When you enter location addresses, those addresses are sent to our server to calculate a midpoint using the Google Maps API. We do not store or log the addresses you enter. Location data is used solely to perform the calculation and is discarded immediately after.

Splitspot uses the following third-party services:

• Google Maps Platform — for geocoding, routing, and place search (Google Terms)
• Google AdSense — for serving advertisements (Google Privacy Policy)

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

Splitspot displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These ads may be personalised based on your browsing history and interests. You can manage your ad preferences via Google's Ad Settings.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of midpoint calculations, travel time estimates, or venue suggestions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Splitspot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
